Home » Featured, German Submarines, U2359 Searching for relatives of the crew from U2359

We would like to get in contact with family and relatives of the 12 crew members from the sunken submarine U-2359. If you know something about any of these persons, please contact us. We would like to know if some of them possibly survived the war even though they are all officially declared dead. Maybe some of the sailors actually made it to the Danish or Swedish shore alive?

The reason for this search is that we would like to know more about the history of this special submarine prior to an eventuel salvage.

The crewmembers were:

  • Gustav-Hinrich Bischoff 11.05.1916
  • Frohmut Goldschmidt 01.02.1922
  • Bernhard Bierwald 04.07.1923
  • Helmut Schlecht 16.06.1924
  • Georg Däumling 07.08.1917
  • Z.S. Dieter Deil 14.02.1924
  • Helmut-Kurt Fiebiger 19.04.1919
  • Günther Gerlach 17.09.1922
  • Georg Henslok 06.08.1916
  • Heinz Hiepe 03.12.1918
  • Horst Mielewczyk 10.08.1925
  • W Rosendahl 29.09.1924
